West Lancs Welcomes Sporting Challenge for an Unforgettable Time on the Water!

West Lancashire Yacht Club was delighted to partner with Sporting Challenge, a fantastic charity that provides adults with learning difficulties the opportunity to take part in social activities linked to sport.

The visit gave our guests a chance to experience sailing and boating in a safe, supportive, and fun environment — perfectly aligned with our ethos of making sailing accessible to all. From the first smiles at the dock to the laughter out on the water, it was a special and memorable occasion for both our visitors and Team WLYC.

The session was organised by Mike Dorr, with the help of several club members who volunteered their time and skills to make sure everyone felt welcome and included. This spirit of community is at the heart of our club, and we're proud to open our doors to all who want to discover the joy of being on the water.
