Throughout the coming winter months we're going to make the Club Training Boats available for training courses, pop-up training sessions and social sailing. So we won't be de-rigging the training boats this year. 'If the weather's nice, why not come for a sail?' says WLYC Training Principal Ian Hughes.
The Sunday 'Frostbite' racing series at Southport Sailing Club (SSC) started Sunday 3rd November with 16 boats on the water including 5 from West Lancs. SSC Commodore Martin McKettrick says all WLYC members 'are most welcome to join'. Starting at 11am every Sunday there are two good long races, one either side of a lunchbreak. After Christmas SSC will run their 'Snowflake' series. Keep your racing skills honed through the winter!
Why not come down to watch two open events being staged at West Lancs in November? For radio-controlled sailing enthusiasts, the DF95 National Championships will take place on the Marine Lake on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November. For Juniors the Topper North Traveller event will be at West Lancs on Saturday 16th November.
