Lap Times

The lap times per boat are also available to download here in PDF format. Relative performance per lap is calculated as a percentage of the average.

For the purposes of this calculation:

The race duration is divided into 10 minute intervals.
An average duration is calculated for all the laps completed in that 10 minutes.
An individual lap time is then expressed as a percentage of the calculated average.

For a lap completed at say 14:27 it's duration is compared to the duration of all the laps completed between 14:20 and 14:30.

NB: The percentage figures are a guide only and can be misleading when a boat resumes sailing after a very long delay. This happened at 04:40, 05:15, 07:57 and 09:29 for example, and will have affected the figures for a short period around these times.
